About Vicki Hines

Eldercare advisor Vicki Hines


Vicki has lived in SoCal all of her life except for a stint in London and in CT.  After over 20 years in the military electronics industry, she wanted to find something that was more personally meaningful and found Assisted Living Locators.  She became the first ALL franchise in CA.


Vicki attended the University of CA, Irvine and has a BA in Psychology and an MS in Management from the Merage School of Business.  Vicki also has her RCFE administrator certificate. Being an eldercare advisor leans heavily on psychology and common sense and a big dash of patience, but seeing the bigger picture is also important.  Rudyard Kipling said it well in his poem “If” – “If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs” works to your benefit in the Senior Placement business. 


Moving into a new industry was a great opportunity to educate herself. Vicki has taken advantage of classes and presentations to learn about Dementia care, senior services, Legal paperwork for the family, Social Security and a variety of other issues to better support families and clients in making the best decisions for their circumstances.  Matching clients with the right property is the key.


Being part of a nationwide company like Assisted Living Locators has simplified getting into the industry by having national contracts in place, being able to take advantage of other offices’ experience, and sharing best practices.  Vicki looks forward to all opportunities to help Seniors with placement services or being a resource for other needs.
